Document Description
Holliday Rock Co., Inc. has applied to the County of Tulare for a Surface Mining Permit and Reclamation Plan to develop the proposed Terra Bella Quarry over a 50-year period through approximately 2076. The 318-acre project would disturb about 237 acres, including 223 acres dedicated to excavation, and is expected to produce up to 250,000 tons of crushed stone annually from an estimated 50 million tons of reserves for use in regional construction and infrastructure projects. Operations would include drilling, blasting, hauling, crushing, screening, and washing materials on-site using heavy equipment and recycled well water, with approximately 37 to 38 daily one-way truck trips and up to 15 employees working 10-hour days, five days per week. The project also includes supporting facilities such as a processing plant, stockpiles, maintenance areas, access roads, and parking areas.
