Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-ORA-63917-R5, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Southern California Edison Company (SCE). The Project consists of removing and replacing eleven existing single utility deteriorated wood poles with eleven new single wood utility poles, removing and replacing one existing H-frame wood structure with one new H-frame wood structure, and removing and replacing two existing 3-eyed rod screw anchors with two 3-eyed rod screw anchors associated with the H-frame structure. Three cranes will be used to set new utility poles and the new H-frame wood structure. The Project activity’s total temporary impacts of 0.448-acre include vegetation trimming and crushing, staging, overland travel, excavation, and general work activities. The temporary impact area consists of Quailbush Scrub, Menzies’s Golden Bush Scrub, Mulefat Thickets, and Arroyo Willow Thickets. Tree trimming may occur on a total of eleven arroyo willow trees ranging from 8-24 inches diameter at breast height. Tree trimming will result in crown reduction of less than 60 percent on eleven arroyo willow trees. SCE will restore the 0.448 acre of temporary impacts on site by recontouring and replacing topsoils to pre-Project conditions.
