Document Description
The Caltrans proposed Minor B Safety project involves the replacement of Midwest Guardrail System (MGS) on State Route 241 (SR-241) in the city of Irvine in Orange County. Work includes construction of MGS (Type 16A), end terminals (TL-3), end anchor (SFT-M), dike (Type C), removal of barrier, crash cushion, and delineators, and minor grading. Vegetation removal is anticipated. The purpose of the project is to replace MGS in select locations within this area. The need is due to existing safety devices not meeting current standards. The total Disturbed Soil Area (DSA) is less than 1 acre. All work will occur within paved travel way within State right of way. No new right of way is anticipated
