The proposed project is categorially exempt from the provisions of the CEQA Guidelines pursuant to the Provisions of Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations, Section 15301 (Existing Facilities) which allows for the minor alteration of existing private structures, involving negligible or no expansion of existing or former use. The project includes a 228 sq ft addition to an existing 2,185 sq ft single-family dwelling. The addition does not result in an increase of more than 2,500 sq ft and involves negligible expansion of the existing residential use. No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply. There is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
