Reasons for Exemption
The proposed project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act pursuant to the provisions of Title 14 of the California Administrative Code, Section 15303 which provides for construction of residential accessory structures including decks. No exceptions listed under Section 15300.2 apply. The project involves a minor expansion to an existing deck and replacement in-kind of existing access stairs, is not proposed within ESHA, and will not impact existing wetlands located east of the project site. There is no reasonable possibility that the project would have a significant effect on the environment.
