Document Description
The purpose of this project is to repair a section of broken underground potable water pipeline at Carnegie State Vehicular Recreation Area to restore water for use at facilities and for fire suppression. Best management practices implemented include preconstruction surveys, presence of a biological monitor, and sediment control measures on site. Work will: • Use hand tools to expose and verify the location of the water leak; • Use hand tools and heavy equipment to excavate and expose broken pipe; • Remove broken pipe sections; • Install and replace pipe sections in the same footprint; and • Backfill excavated area using excavated soils.
