Document Description
Eastern Municipal Water District’s (EMWD) Sanderson Lift Station, constructed in 2004, has been identified to need maintenance. The scope of work of the proposed project would consist of the replacement of ten (10) wet well lids, with the replacement also including a spring assisted lifting mechanism to ease strain of lifting the lids for EMWD staff and contractors. The I-beam angle brackets for the wet well lids will also be replaced to ensure functionality of the system. The wet well lids that are proposed for this project include:
• Three (3) Large Wet Well Vault Lids
• Two (2) Medium Wet Well Vault Lids
• Two (2) Instrument Hatches
• Three (3) at the Pipe Header
The purpose of the proposed project is to replace equipment that is nearing end of useful service life and provide adequate ergonomic protection for EMWD staff. Beneficiaries of the project are EMWD staff and ratepayers.
