Document Description
The County of Riverside Transportation Department is proposing to reconstruct approximately 0.8 miles of Dillon Road from 200’ west of Louise Street to Little Morongo Road. Dillon Road is classified as an Arterial Highway and is a 32 to 64 foot wide, two lane road within 80 to 100 feet of right-of-way. The proposed project will include excavating and removing 6 inches of the existing pavement and placing 6-inches of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) concrete. Additional improvements include: • Re-grading and placing a cross gutter at Little Morongo Rd to alleviate ponding on the northwest corner of Dillon Rd and Little Morongo Rd. • Utility adjustments • Signing and striping of roadway.

The County of Riverside Transportation Department has found that the above-described project is exempt from the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), based on the following: Section 15301 (c) – Existing Facilities – The project proposes to reconstruct approximately 0.8 miles of Dillon Road from 200’ west of Louise Street to Little Morongo Road. The project in its entirety is consistent with Section 15301(c) because it does not create additional traffic lanes and involves no expansion of use of the existing roadway and associated facilities.
