Document Description
To construct a 25-foot by 45-foot private boat dock with a 25-foot by 35-foot metal cover, 3-foot by 70-foot aluminum gangway, and 4-foot by 5-foot by 1.5-foot concrete landing pad to moor a privatelyowned boat and to provide recreational access to the river. The proposed dock and gangway will be manufactured off-site and delivered to the nearest boat ramp. Installation of the dock and concrete landing pad will require pile driving of four 12-inch diameter and two 4-inch diameter steel pipe piles, respectively, with a barge-mounted pile driver.

Reasons for Exemption
The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 3, New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures categorical exemption (CEQA California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15303), because the activity consists of construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures; installation of small new equipment and facilities in small structures; and the conversion of existing small structures from one use to another where only minor modifications are made in the exterior of the structure. The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 4, Minor Alterations to Land categorical exemption (California Code of Regulations, Title
14, Section 15304), because the activity consists of minor public or private alterations in the condition of land, water, and/or vegetation which do not involve removal of healthy, mature, scenic trees except for forestry or agricultural purposes. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemptions in California Code of Regulations, Title 14,
Section 15300.2 apply.
