Document Description
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) proposes waste removal and clean-up of unhoused resident encampments within State Right of Way (ROW) throughout San Mateo County. Project activities include collecting, removing, transporting, and legally disposing of all environmentally-regulated, biological and hazardous waste, contaminated materials, debris, waste, and other substances at Level 1 and Level 2 unhoused resident encampments. The timely closure of encampments is in alignment with the Department’s mission and goals while providing safe access for motorists and field employees.
