Document Description
Caltrans approves of the encroachment permit for Chevron Pipeline & Power to perform maintenance repairs to the existing petroleum pipeline, as well as perform temporary traffic control activities, in accordance with CFR-195 regulations, at postmile (PM) 9.1 on State Route (SR) 213, in the City of Torrance, County of Los Angeles. The work will consist of Sawcutting pavement, excavating and exposing the pipeline, testing and locating the precise repair location, installing an external repair sleeve, repairing the pipe coating, backfilling the trench, installing hot-mix pavement, and returning the site to its original condition. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 84 inches, an average width of 5 inches, and a maximum length of 16 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
