Document Description
Caltrans approves the encroachment permit for Porch House Pictures LLC, which proposes filming at the Caltrans Maintenance Equipment Training Center (META Yard), located at 5200 W. Imperial Hwy, Los Angeles, under Interstate 105 at Post Mile 2.01. This production involves exterior dialogue, exterior models against scenery, driving shots, and drive-up and drive-away scenes. Motorcycles will be used as picture vehicles for both static shots and driving scenes. Water-based atmospheric smoke effects reaching heights of 15–20 feet will be used. A camera car equipped with a Russian Arm will be utilized, and a drone will capture aerial footage below
the freeway during filming. The permit location will include filming support operations such as basecamp, catering, and crew parking, as well as six picture motorcycles, production vehicles including cube trucks and sprinter vans, portable generators, and approximately 20 cast and crew vehicles. No ground disturbance will be necessary. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
