Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license submitted on 02/11/2026, by Lantern Farms of Mendocino. The project consists of 9,900 square feet of Small Outdoor cannabis cultivation. The water source is a permitted well. The water use per season is estimated to be 150,000 gallons per year. Two small sheds for the pesticide and agricultural chemical area and harvest storage area would need to be installed. No processing, packaging, or immature plant cultivation occur on site. No grading would be required.

Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
