Document Description
The purpose of this emergency repair project is to excavate and replace the failed septic tank and inlet pipe at Marsh Creek State Historic Park near the residence at Marsh Creek. Work used heavy equipment and hand tools by State Park staff to: Excavate a failed septic tank and inlet pipe and install a new 1,250-gallon septic tank. Replace 30-foot inlet pipe with black ABS plastic pipe and ensure the tank inlet is at the proper level to maintain the proper rise and run of the inflow and outflow. Repair gray water system to connect to outflow system. Backfill excavated area with sand and cap with non-native, clean capping soil already on sight. Install new poly risers with covers to preserve the opening for maintenance.
