Document Description
Mayoral action to allow award of a design consultant services contract for engineering and environmental services, including a soil sampling program, for the Black Mountain Mine Remediation project. The proposed soil sampling program would consist of using hand augers to dig to a maximum depth of 18 inches at up to 20 locations. Tools will be brought to the sampling sites via existing trails, by hand, wheelbarrow, or similar narrow equipment. The project occurs within the City's Multi-Habitat Planning Area (MHPA) and would be required to comply with the MHPA Land Use Adjacency Guidelines (LUAG's) as specified in Section 1.4.3 of the Multiple Species Conservation Program's (MSCP) Subarea Plan. A qualified biological monitor would be present during soils sampling to ensure compliance with MHPA LUAG. WBS No.: B-18236

The proposed soil sampling program would consist of using hand augers to dig to a maximum depth of 18 inches at up to 20 locations. Tools will be brought to the sampling sites via existing trails, by hand, wheelbarrow, or similar narrow equipment.
