Document Description
The California Department of Transportation proposes to cold plane 0.50’ of the existing surface and repave with 0.50’ HMA (Type A) on Wye Road within Caltrans right-of-way. The project is located in Inyo County between State Route 395 (PM 116.43) and State Route 6 (PM 0.13). The road will be restriped and have new pavement markings. It is proposed to close the road during work (24/7 closure) and detour traffic. Traffic handling and work will be coordinated with the Bishop Pavement project, an encroachment permit from the City of Bishop is proposed. Shoulder backing is not needed and construction area signs will be on barricades (no posts). Night work is possible since the road will be closed to traffic.
