Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The proposed cultivation project described herein (Project) includes the cultivation of up to 10,000 square feet (SF) of mature canopy located in Trinity County on Assessor’s Parcel Number (APN): 009-520-0700. Cultivation activities are approved to include approx. 9,998sqft mature canopy in proposed (199) 8-ft diameter canopy areas. Existing support infrastructure is approved to include a permitted onsite groundwater well, pump house and two (2) 8'x40' shipping containers for harvest storage and agricultural chemical and pesticide storage. Proposed activities are approved to include installation of a 20'x20' compost area, two (2) 2,500-gallon water storage tanks and the (199) mature canopy areas detailed above on previously disturbed areas. There is a permitted onsite septic system that services the project's wastewater needs. Power for the project is provided by TPUD

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
