Document Description
Use Permit application to stabilize an 82-foot-long eroding streambank of Calabazas Creek. The project is located along the southern bank of Calabazas Creek at 1200 Nuns Canyon Road, Glen Ellen, CA 95442 (053-040-029). The property is developed with an existing residence adjacent to Calabazas Creek on the northern parcel boundary. The bank is actively eroding and migrating towards a residence and increasing the risks of flooding and future erosion to the structural safety of the home. The project will stabilize the eroding creek bank by installing a rootwad revetment along the toe of the bank reinforced with boulders. A log vane will also be installed to redirect flow away from the repaired streambank towards the center of the channel. A streamside conservation plan with monitoring plan included.
