Document Description
The Caltrans proposed Minor B Safety project involves the removal of an existing delineated island and installation of one raised concrete island on State Route 39 (SR-39) near Yorktown (PM 2.0) in the city of Huntington Beach, in Orange County. Work includes installation of new signs on proposed concrete island and wooden poles, refreshing and upgrade of pavement striping and markings, and concrete curb. No vegetation removal is anticipated. The purpose of the project is to replace existing delineated island to a raised concrete island, refresh pavement markings and install signs at this location on SR-39. The need is due to this location not meeting the current safety standards. The total Disturbed Soil area is less than one acre. This project occurs in Caltrans Right of way. No new right of way is required. The public benefit.
