Document Description
Annual routine maintenance is required on the Rubicon Trail (Trail) in order to continue to comply with the easement issued to El Dorado County in 2012 from the U.S. Forest Service. El Dorado County has installed 475 Best Management Practices (BMP's) on the Trail that require regular maintenance and evaluation. This project also includes the building of a new interpretive signage kiosk to be installed at the Airport Flats Campground, rock armoring along Wentworth Springs Road, and maintenance activities along U.S. Forest Service Roads 14N05 and 14N06.

The Project location continues from Bart’s Creek Crossing at 39°1'9.40"N, 120°22'49.56"W to the Wentworth Springs Campground at approximate Station 'RT' 35+00 and ends at approximate Station 'RT' 440+00 at the El Dorado/Placer County line. The other portion of the Project begins at the Loon Lake kiosk at approximate Station 'EC' 120+00 and ends at the intersection of Wentworth Springs Trail segment and the Loon Lake Intertie at Station 'EC' 200+00/'RT' 99+71. The other area of the Project begins on Forest Service Road 14N06 at 39°1'28.38"N,120°22'26.11"W and ends on Forest Service Road 14N05 at 39°1'38.73"N, 120°18'21.45"W
