AB 130 Statutory Infill Exemption (PRC § 21080.66):
Reasons for Exemption
This exemption applies to qualifying infill residential and mixed-use development projects located within urbanized areas that meet objective planning and zoning standards, are consistent with applicable General Plan and zoning requirements, and are adequately served by existing infrastructure and public services. Projects eligible for this exemption are subject to specified environmental performance standards and do not require further review under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). Because the proposed project meets the eligibility criteria set forth in PRC Section 21080.66, it is statutorily exempt from CEQA, and no additional environmental review is required.
