Document Description
To authorize a section of an existing electrical transmission line that includes eight power poles and their respective overhead lines installed parallel with the landside levee toe of the Reclamation District No. 1001 (RD 1001) Feather River left bank levee, just downstream of the confluence with the Sacramento River. The encroachments were installed prior to the Board adopting the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento River Flood Control Project, Unit No. 141 - Part No. 1 in August 1955. Pacific Gas & Electric has provided a Grant of Right-of-Way that references the existing electrical transmission line alignment, dated August 2, 1906.

The project is exempt from CEQA under the Class 1, Existing Facilities categorical exemption (California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15301), because the activity consists of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing or minor alteration of existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use. No expansion of existing or former use will occur. Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
