Document Description
The project consists of upgrading campus security fencing at existing school sites. Work includes replacing deteriorated fencing, installing new fencing where needed, upgrading gates and access points, and minor associated improvements such as posts, footings, and limited grading adjacent to fence lines. All work will occur within existing developed school campuses. The proposed project will occur at multiple existing Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District school campuses located within the cities of Palos Verdes Estates, Rancho Palos Verdes, and Rolling Hills Estates, Los Angeles County, California. Project locations include the following campuses:

Reasons for Exemption

Any new fencing or gates are small accessory structures consistent with typical campus security improvements. The project qualifies under CEQA Guidelines §§15301 and 15303. None of the exceptions to categorical exemptions (CEQA Guidelines §15300.2) apply.
