Document Description
The City of Huron proposes to complete work on the Caltrans right-of-way through an encroachment permit. Work will be performed on Lassen Avenue (SR 269) at 9th Street and Railroad Ave and consists of constructing bulb-outs, installing pedestrian hybrid beacons, curb and gutter, sidewalks, and curb ramps, improving drainage, and reconstructing the road. Additional right-of-way will be acquired to perfect right-of-way within the project area. The project would improve pedestrian accessibility on SR 269 by increasing sidewalk connectivity in the downtown corridor and providing an alternative, non-motorized means of accessing schools, health centers, and daycares around the project area. Commercial and industrial businesses near the improvements will also be more accessible.
