The program consists of 2 main activities: 1) leader-training/coppicing, and 2) replanting/reforestation. Reforestation may be accompanied by herbicide use (following a recommendation from a California-licensed Pest Control Advisor (PCA), and after appropriate notifications to the Agricultural Commissioner’s Office and the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board, and landowners). Herbicide would only be sprayed in a manner consistent with its label, observing all buffers and limitations listed.
