Document Description
To replace the existing steel pipe, which has a 156-foot by 14-inch section and a 24-foot by 12-inch section up and over the levee, with a 14-inch pipe. The existing siphon breaker on the landside hinge will also be replaced in kind. A positive closure device on the waterside hinge will be installed to meet current standard, and the required soil compaction and pipe leakage testing will be performed. The intake and external intake sleeve, which are on the waterside levee slope, may be replaced in kind under this authorization. This pipe structure is shown on the Operation and Maintenance Manual As Builts “Bank Protection, Right Bank Sacramento River from Monument Bend to Sacramento Weir, in 18 sheets, 1965”, file 50-04-3756, on sheets 6.3, 15.6, and 17.2 for Station 104+12. All work including excavation and backfill will be performed in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 23, Division 1 (Title 23) standards.

No expansion of existing or former use will occur.

Further, none of the exceptions to the exemption in California Code of Regulations, Title 14, Section 15300.2 apply.
