Reasons for Exemption
The City's Environmental Administrator has determined that the Project is categorically exempt from further review under the State CEQA Guidelines, Section 15303 Class 3 (New Construction or Conversion of Small Structures) and there is no substantial evidence demonstrating that an exception to a categorical exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines, Section 15300.2 applies. The Class 3 Categorical Exemption allows for the construction and location of limited numbers of new, small facilities or structures where only minor modifications are made in the exterior or a structure, and include accessory structures, such as a public bench.
