The project is necessary to allow access to fire damaged timber within a private land ownership with a stream course flowing through the parcels. The project is limited to installation of one temporary vented ford crossing, as identified and described in Emergency timber harvest notice # 2-26EM-00008-LAS and Notification EPIMS-LAS-66855-R1. The crossing is located on Willard Creek (Class I), tributary to Susan River. Project consists of installation of a temporary crossing using (2) 36” diameter culvert pipes along with (2) additional smaller 12” to 18” diameter culvert pipes, one on each side of the main 36” diameter culverts which will be bedded in place with clean 1” to 3” rock on all sides, bottom and top which will then have compacted green materials that will not cause sediment delivery to the steam course placed on top to form a smooth running surface for trucks and vehicles.
