Document Description
Proposed Project consists of a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) application to support improvements to Pioneer Park. Improvements include the following: removing and off-hauling approximately 160 linear feet of the existing asphalt path and concrete pad on-site; relocating the existing path and replacing it with approximately 240 linear feet of an Americans with Disabilities (ADA)-compliant concrete path leading to the playground, restroom, picnic tables, and basketball court; installing between two to five new concrete pads for picnic tables, including one for ADA compliance; installing approximately 2,500 square feet of hardscape around the new ADA compliant playground; installing two to five new park benches, picnic tables (including an ADA-compliant picnic table), park side amenities, such as an entrance sign, a drinking fountain, and trash and recycle receptacles; repairing landscaping and sprinkler systems; and assessing and modifying ADA parking spaces. The purpose of the project is to make Pioneer Park a more inclusive and enjoyable space that is ADA-compliant.

The Proposed Project consists of a variety of improvements to the existing Pioneer Park site. The improvements include removing the existing asphalt path and concrete pad on-site; relocating the existing path and replacing it with an Americans with Disabilities (ADA)-compliant concrete path leading to the playground, restroom, picnic tables, and basketball court; installing new concrete pads for picnic tables, including one for ADA compliance; installing hardscape around the new ADA compliant playground; installing new park benches, picnic tables (including an ADA-compliant picnic table), park side amenities, such as an entrance sign, a drinking fountain, and trash and recycle receptacles; repairing landscaping and sprinkler systems; and assessing and modifying ADA parking spaces. All work will be conducted within the existing boundary of the park site and no expansion to the park is proposed.
