Document Description
Caltrans will conduct a Hazardous Waste Investigation (drilling operations) and Surveys in support of a proposed widening project, in City of Brea, post miles 20.7/R22.5 in Orange County, CA. Caltrans will conduct a Hazardous Waste (HW) Investigation (drilling operations) and Field/Flora/Fauna Surveys in support of a proposed widening project. A HW Investigation is needed to assess levels of naturally occurring hydrocarbons in the Brea Olinda Oil Field area (where a segment of SR-57 is situated). Additionally, Caltrans staff/consultants must conduct surveys to ascertain need for environmental permits. All multimodal travelers will benefit from the HW Investigation and surveys with regard to assessing potential impacts of a larger, more complex widening project.
