Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Profession Code, Division 10, Chapter 2, Section 26012, approved a Small Outdoor commercial cannabis license. The Project will consist of an existing Small Mixed-Light Commercial Cannabis Cultivation Operation. A Trinity County Cannabis Cultivation License was first issued for the Project in September of 2019 (CCL-2019-575). Water is provided to the Project from the existing onsite groundwater well located at Latitude: 40.41401º and Longitude: - 123.05973º. The existing cultivation area is composed of a 20’ X 96’ (1,920 sqft) immature plants greenhouse and three 32’ X 96’ (3,072 sqft) flowering greenhouses, totaling 11,136 sqft. The existing support area is composed of a 225 sqft composting area, a 120 sqft metal shed (Pesticides & Agricultural Chemicals Storage Area), a 2,500-gallon water storage tank, and a 1,500-gallon water storage tank, totaling approximately 1,000 sqft. The 1,920 sqft immature plants greenhouse is also used for cannabis processing, and a proposed 10’X 12’ (120 sqft) wooden shed will be installed and used as a Harvest Storage Area. Power is supplied by PG&E grid and equipped with generators for emergency uses.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
