Document Description
Caltrans proposes a major pavement rehabilitation on SR-78 on the Eastbound and Westbound lanes. Deteriorated pavement would be removed and replaced for 14.2 lane miles. This replacement of existing asphalt concrete pavement would utilize the Full Depth Recycling Cement method. The scope would also remove/replace dikes, shoulder backings with safety edge, pavement markings, and rumble strips. At SR-86, the scope of work would replace the pavement on the mainline lanes and shoulders with Asphalt Concrete Pavement with the potential for subgrade treatment. This would also include installing inside and outside shoulder rumble strips with safety edge and removing/replacing pavement and crosswalk striping. All work is within Caltrans ROW.
