Reasons for Exemption
A Class 24 Categorical Exemption consists of actions taken by a regulatory agency to regulate, among other things, hours of work. The project is a request for a Minor Variance to deviate from otherwise requires hours of work for construction activities in order to facilitate repairs to an existing commercial building without interruption to regular business operation and accordingly qualifies for exemption under Class 24. All proposed repair work qualifies as ministerial and is therefore not subject to analysis under CEQA. Moreover, none of the 15300.2 (Exceptions to Exemptions cited in Section 15300.2 are applicable.
