Document Description
Caltrans approves of the encroachment permit for Southern California Edison (SCE) to reframe/replace existing overhead equipment/insulators on pole 1832997E. The SCE is to cut the top 10 feet of pole 1832994E and remove the transmission lines attached to this pole. Pole 1832994E will still have overhead wires and equipment that feed the Caltrans pedestal. Pole 4403712E will be replaced with a new tubular steel pole installed 5 feet west of the existing location behind the guardrail. The SCE is to replace approximately 1100 feet of 3-wire 66KV 336 ACSR with 3-wire 66KV 954 ACSR, aluminum conductor steel reinforced. The poles are located on State Route (SR) 14 at postmile (PM) R70 in the City of Lancaster, County of Los Angeles, and will also perform temporary traffic control activities. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 180 inches, an average width of 72 inches, and a maximum length of 6 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
