The proposed project would entail the rehabilitation of an existing roadway consisting of an approximately 3-mile alignment from Main Street to Ranchero Road. The project would follow the existing roadway alignment and does not propose widening or an increase in the number of lanes, consistent with CEQA Guidelines Section 15301 (Existing Facilities). Further, the proposed improvements would consist of the replacement and reconstruction of the existing roadway alignment, consistent with CEQA Guidelines 15302 (Replacement or Reconstruction). CEQA Guidelines Section 15300.2 identifies exceptions to the use of a categorical exemption; none of these apply to the proposed project.
