Reasons for Exemption
The project includes a discharge to surface water subject to the Statewide NPDES General Order WQ 2014-0194-DWQ which has an associated mitigated negative declaration (Resolution 2014-0067). The discharge of groundwater to surface water, with implementation of BMPs, is not anticipated to result in any adverse impacts to beneficial uses of Lake Tahoe. The Lahontan Water Board determined that the Project is exempt from the CEQA pursuant to Public Resources Code section 21080(b)(1) and in accordance with California Code of Regulations, Title 14, section 15061, which exempts projects with no possibility of having a significant effect on the environment.
