Document Description
The scope of the ACWD Waterline Work includes the replacement and relocation of approximately 2,900-feet of existing Asbestos Cement (AC) or Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) pipelines ranging from 8-inches to 12-inches in diameter with new 12-inch diameter PVC water main, service laterals (1½-inch), fire hydrant laterals (6-inch), appurtenances, valves, and interconnections with existing facilities on the side streets along Thornton Avenue, from Ash Street to Cherry Street. The project will primarily benefit the residents of the City of Newark and Alameda County, as well as business owners and visitors along Thornton Avenue and nearby commercial areas.
