Document Description
The Alameda County Public Works Agency is proposing to install approximately twenty (20) bicycle racks and eight (8) bicycle repair stations at various existing County-owned facilities and public-serving sites within the unincorporated communities of Ashland, Cherryland, Castro Valley, Fairview, San Lorenzo, Sunol and East County, in Alameda County as recommended by the Alameda County Bicycle and Pedestrian Master Plan. Site selection will prioritize areas with high bicycle activity, proximity to transit, and community destinations, while ensuring compliance with accessibility and safety standards. Installation would occur within existing developed public areas and may include minor surface preparation, drilling, anchoring, minor excavation, concrete work, signage, striping, and related incidental improvements.
