Document Description
The Alameda County Public Works Agency is proposing to implement traffic calming measures on East Avenue between Windfeldt Road and Arthur Court, Norbridge Avenue between Walker Court and Wilbeam Avenue, and Cherry Way between St. George Street and Haviland Avenue in unincorporated areas of Alameda County as part of the Alameda County Neighborhood Traffic Calming Program. The project consists of constructing asphaltic concrete speed humps and road humps over existing pavement and installing pavement markings and appropriate warning signage. Two (2) road humps will be installed on East Avenue in the Fairview; five (5) road humps will be installed along Norbridge Avenue in Castro Valley; and two (2) speed humps will be installed on Cherry Way in Cherryland. The purpose of the project is to reduce vehicle speeds for traffic safety along these roadways.
