Reasons for Exemption
The project consists of the replacement of an existing standalone public restroom building within a City park. The existing restroom will be removed and replaced with a new restroom building of the same use and smaller size, located within the same developed area of the park to improve site conditions. The project involves replacement of an existing facility with substantially the same purpose and capacity and qualifies for a Class 2 categorical exemption pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15302. The project would not expand use and no exceptions to the exemption under Section 15300.2 apply.
