Caltrans approves the encroachment permit for Southern California Edison (SCE) Hotline crew to remove and replace deteriorated SCE utility pole #2274614E near State Route (SR) 72 at postmile (PM) 6.55 in the City of Whittier, County of Los Angeles, as well as perform temporary traffic control activities. The work consists of 1 day of construction. Lane & off-ramp closure, 1 day of work for concrete restoration and sidewalk closure. Excavation will have a maximum depth of 90 inches, an average width of 20 inches, and a maximum length of 2 feet. No public utilities will be relocated, and no new right-of-way will be acquired for the project.
