The investigation includes advancing exploratory cone penetrometer test soundings and soil borings along the crest, upstream, and downstream areas of the Big Dry Creek and Fancher Creek dams to evaluate subsurface conditions, embankment materials, and potential seepage pathways. Exploration locations are distributed along the length of both existing dam levee locations to support evaluation of existing dam performance and future operational modifications.
