Document Description
The project will rehabilitate about 91,500 square feet of pavement. The existing tiedown layout will be reviewed for consistency with current FAA standards and its ability to accommodate the Airport’s fleet mix. The layout will be modified as necessary within the available space. And change in design will maintain circulation from adjacent hangars. The rehabilitation and removal of existing pavement, excavation and subgrade preparation, placement of controlled low-strength material (CLSM), lime-treated subgrade as required, construction of aggregate base course, and asphalt mix pavement. Pavement improvements include application of emulsified asphalt prime and seal coats, joint sealants, and miscellaneous concrete work. The project also includes installation of runway/taxiway/apron markings and aircraft tiedowns. The project would span over a period of 60 days for both schedules 1 and 2. The separate schedules are to stagger the closure of the different areas affected. Work area 1 will be closed for 29 days, during schedule 1, followed by work area 2 being closed for 2 days, and finalized by a 29-day closure of work are 3. The staging area will be located on the Southwest comer of the property. Hours of construction would be Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and will not exceed 86dBA LMax at 50 feet from the job site activities.
