Document Description
The proposed Winston Solar Project is a photovoltaic (PV) solar facility with associated infrastructure necessary to generate up to 200 megawatts (MW) of renewable electrical energy and up to 200 MW or 1,600 megawatt-hours (MWh) of battery energy storage, on approximately 1,357 acres across 15 privately-owned parcels, in an unincorporated area of western Kern County, California. The proposed project includes land-use entitlements for a Zone Classification Change (ZCC), three (3) Conditional Use Permits, (CUP), two (2) General Plan Amendments (GPA), cancellation of a Farmland Security Zone Contract, and cancellation of three (3) Williamson Act Land Use Contacts from the Kern County Planning and Natural Resources Department.
