Document Description
The project will perform geotechnical investigations to aid in the design of a new campground kiosk building and to upgrade the existing restroom as part of the Lower-Cost Coastal Overnight Accommodations Project. The investigation will include three (3) borings by a truck-mounted drill rig equipped with hollow-stem augers to depths of approximately 20 and 90 feet and 8 inches in diameter (approximately 32 cubic feet of fill will be drilled out). All borings shall be backfilled with cement grout per SDCEHD permit requirements and the sites shall be left in as close to their original condition as possible.
Geotechnical resource protection measures shall be implemented as part of the project’s implementation. Resource protection and further project details may be obtained by submitting a request to the Environmental Coordinator listed below.
