The Whittier Narrows Recreation Area Splash Pad. The project, which will construct a new splash pad, paving, shade, and seating areas; renovate accessible parking with resurfacing and remarking the parking and its aisles, and repaving the path of travel where necessary; and install irrigation and climate-appropriate landscaping in place of nonnative grass; is within certain classes of projects that have been determined not to have a significant effect on the environment in that it meets the criteria set forth in the above sections. The project provides restoration of deteriorated structures, facilities and mechanical equipment.
