Document Description
The Department of Cannabis Control, pursuant to authority granted under Business and Professions Code, Section 26012, approved a Medium Outdoor commercial cannabis cultivation license. The Project will consist of an existing, previously permitted outdoor cannabis cultivation facility cultivating of up to 1 acre (43,560 square feet) of outdoor canopy using 25-gallon fabric pots arranged in rows within the existing fenced cultivation area. The Project proposes to assume operations of the established cultivation site without making any physical changes to the property. All cultivation areas, infrastructure, security measures, and irrigation systems are already in place and will continue to be used as previously permitted.

The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is a Class 1 Categorical Exemption project. Class 1 Categorical Exemptions consist of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, leasing, licensing, or minor alterations to existing public or private structures, facilities, mechanical equipment, or topographical features, involving negligible or no expansion of use beyond that existing at the time of the lead agency’s determination. None of the exceptions to this exemption defined in Section 15300.2 apply.
