Document Description
Repair the existing bridge along Mainlines 1 and 2 by replacing the concrete floor, installing knee walls, and repairing a wingwall. A 60-inch diameter, 120-foot-long, smooth steel pipe culvert with associated riprap aprons will be installed adjacent to the existing structure. The purpose of the proposed project is to extend the useful life
of the existing structure to continue and improve freight and passenger rail service in the region.

The Project purpose is to improve freight and passenger service on rail lines already in use [statutory exemption PRC Section 21080(b)(10) and CEQA Guidelines § 15275(a)] and repair the existing structure in its current location, and will have substantially the same purpose and capacity as the existing structure (categorical exemption Class 2, CEQA guidelines §15302[b]).
