Document Description
The project proposes to repair localized pavement damage at two locations along the highway. At post mile (PM) 42.7, the existing pavement has experienced uplift and cracking, resulting in a vertical displacement of approximately 3 inches and a transverse crack across both southbound lanes; repairs will restore a smooth and safe driving surface. At PM 41.2, pavement settlement caused by water overflow from a clogged culvert has undermined the northbound #2 lane and shoulder over an area of approximately 40 by 20 feet; work will include repairing the culvert, stabilizing the subgrade, and reconstructing the pavement section. All work will occur within the existing roadway footprint. Caltrans has determined that the project will have negligible impacts on environmental resources, with no anticipated adverse environmental effects.
