Document Description
The project would operate 9,900 square feet (sf) of outdoor mature cannabis canopy cultivation composed of greenhouses of various dimensions sized, and an immature plant area. Existing cultivation support structures consist of processing, harvest storage structure, an storage building for trash and petroleum storage, compost area, and water storage tanks, bringing the total support square footage to approximately 1,480 sf. The proposed project includes the use of an existing permitted groundwater well, and power is provided to the site via an existing connection to Trinity Public Utilities District. An existing onsite septic system would serve the project’s wastewater needs.

Reasons for Exemption
The Department of Cannabis Control has determined that the project is consistent with the local jurisdiction community plan and/or zoning designations. CEQA mandates that the project is consistent with the development density established by existing zoning, community plan, or general plan policies for which an EIR was certified and shall not require additional environmental review, except as might be necessary to examine whether there are project-specific significant effects which are peculiar to the project or its site. The project activity fits within the parameters included in CEQA Guidelines Section 15183 and the activity does not require additional CEQA analysis.
